Kili & Brian A Wildly Fun and Beautiful Villa Woodbine Wedding in Miami

Okay so, this Villa Woodbine wedding was one for the books. It was my first time shooting at this Miami wedding venue and honestly I was blown away the second I pulled up. The property has this old historic charm, tons of tropical greenery everywhere, and this massive oak tree that hangs over the ceremony space like something out of a dream. You just don’t find venues like this …the kind where the trees make the space. It’s the kind of natural beauty you can’t fake.

I hadn’t met the couple, Kili and Brian, before the wedding day so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. But right when I walked into the getting ready suite, the vibes were just so good. Kili was just full of energy, super down to earth, and clearly just having the best time with her friends. Everyone was hyped, but also so sweet and welcoming. They’d apparently been following my work for a while and kept saying how excited they were to have me there, which meant a lot.

Then we got to the first look. And man... the way Brian looked at Kili, you could tell everything. Just pure love. It was one of those emotional moments that sets the tone for the whole day. From that point on, I knew this was going to be a really special wedding.

Villa Woodbine flips their ceremony space after the vows and turns it into this super ambient reception area with string lights and all kinds of magical lighting. But before that, cocktail hour happens in the courtyard, which has this cozy, intimate feel with tons of character. Their planner Lauren & Lou with Above the Rest Events did an incredible job pulling everything together — the whole day just flowed perfectly.

Their daughter was part of the day too, which made it even more emotional. There were so many sweet moments and tears, but also tons of laughter and dancing. Everyone was just living it up and not worried about being perfect — they were just present and having a blast. That’s my kind of couple.

And speaking of the party, wow. It was wild in the best way. The DJ cranked it up, they had dancers come out, and the dance floor was packed from the jump. One of the coolest moments was when Keely’s friends surprised her with this epic champagne pour moment for her and Brian. She was SO hyped and it just set the tone for the rest of the night.

Honestly, it’s weddings like these that remind me why I love being a Miami wedding photographer. Villa Woodbine is easily one of my new favorite venues, and Kili+ Brian were a dream couple to photograph. The love was real, the energy was high, and the day felt like pure joy start to finish.
