Jack is a native to Jupiter, FL, a prominent town of world-class nature preserves, professional golf, and lavish yachting. His inspiration comes from being raised on turquoise-colored water, sea glass spotted beaches, and witnessing sunrises and sunsets that set the sky on fire. Jack grew up immersed in a the elements. With this upbringing, Jack was gifted a camera which led him to develop his eye and showcase its beauty to the world.

With a passion for travel and nature, Jack’s ventures have brought him across the United States and abroad. His appreciation for art is apparent in his desire to work with those who share his view of the world. His dedication to creating something masterful has always been his number one motivation.

If Jack could be described in one word, it would be “magnetic”. His energy is calming to his surroundings. He can bring out the purity of moments through his presence, creativity, and humility.

The Jupiter Inlet

The Jupiter Inlet. If you look very closely you can see me and my Dad on our boat. The only one not moving just on the tip of the south side inlet.

“Thank you so much for being here! My name is Jack Bates and we are a team of full time photography and videography creators. Our studio is located in the heart of Jupiter.

So here is a little about myself... being raised in Jupiter, Florida I was constantly emerged in nature. If you check out the Landscapes page you will see where my inspiration comes from. My success is a process that is constantly evolving. I started as a kid with a camera, challenging myself to see the ordinary in a different way. After graduating college, I pursued my dream to be a photographer/entrepreneur and started Jack Bates Photography. Over the past 10 years, we had the privilege to photograph hundreds of weddings. It has been a huge learning experience and we can officially say that we our experts in photographing weddings. Our focus is on candid moments, photojournalism, and environmental portraits. Over the years we have learned that the amazing shots are not about the post-processing and expensive equipment (although we update our gear every year), but it's about being ready, utilizing the best light and anticipating that split second of time. I can proudly say my team and I will give you 100% while remaining respectful and composed. This is my lead photographer Ben. Ben started working with me as a secondary photographer in 2019. In the beginning of 2022 Ben became my lead associate photographer and hybrid filmmaker. The reason I started this was to offer the same quality of work for wedding clients with dates that I am already booked on. I have literally trained him from the ground up and taught him everything I know. I’m proud to say Ben has become an amazing photographer over these years. Bens work can not be distinguished from mine and much of his work is within the portfolio. He is now a partner. I would not offer this as an option if I did not believe I could provide the same quality technically and creatively.

Frequently Asked questions

  • Wedding Photographs: 8-12 weeks

    Wedding Video: 12-14 weeks

    Couples Session: 3-4 weeks

    Portraits: 2 weeks

  • Yes. Photos come with a release letter that state your full access. The photos are extremely high resolution for any printing needs. We recommend you use an industry standard printing lab. You can also order prints and wall art directly from the online gallery that we send you. The process is very simple.

  • First we have to get in touch! You can contact Jack directly through Jack@jackbatesphotography.com or text/call 561-316-7044. From there we will discuss the next steps.  We require two things, a signed contract along with a 30% down payment, to reserve your wedding day.

  • It depends on the collection. We do offer in my more extensive collections with all of the unedited RAW files on an external hard drive along with the processed ones too of course. On an average wedding day our team takes about 5000 images. 

    Weddings 500-1000 final images

    Couples Session 50-100 images 

    Lifestyle portraits 35-75 images 

  • First off, the second shooter captures a different angle. This is most valuable during the first look, ceremony, & reception.  The second shooter also provides another perspective and artistic approach during the entirety of the day. This captures your story at different levels. I do recommend a second shooter but it is not essential. 

  • Yes, after all it is your wedding! We have zero tolerance for hidden fees. We are happy to provide you with an archival dropbox link and  an online gallery for printing, sharing, downloading.. really for any personal use! With that being said we do always appreciate when you give credit to Jack Bates Photography while online blogging and publications. 

  • Cash, checks, money transfers, zelle and crypto currencies including BTC and ETH. We do accept credit cards although the credit merchant fee will be applied, PayPal and card payment through our invoices. Checks should be made out to Jack Bates Photography LLC.

  • The images are delivered through an online link of galleries from the day. If you want the RAW files they will be delivered via Google Drive.

  • Yes. We offer a premium wedding album w/ a customized design.

  • Yes, all of them. Color corrected, retouched. Ready to print.

  • Yes

  • We recommend doing a first look. They make the day much more relaxed, and opens up the opportunity get innovative and create stunning images.

  • It’s important to make sure we have the adequate amount of time for each part of the day. I will be apart of the planning process the whole way.

  • As a photographer I'm egoless. Your wedding day is entirely about you. If you have any needs or special requests, I will do my best to meet your every expectation. With that being said, you don't have to worry about me. I will do my job and give you the best results of stunning images captured during your wedding.

  • A Photographer on my team that is fully trained in shooting and editing to my exact style. An amazing option for clients who love my style while working with a specific budget.

  • We love to travel. We are based out of Jupiter, FL but have had the privilege to travel for many weddings. Please reach out and we can discuss the options.

  • Yes, as the lead photographer I am directing pretty much everything. My gear is industry leading as photo/video hybrid equipment making it extremely convent for me to quickly switch and get this signature cinematic shot. Now of course I have a dedicated videographer shooting as well. Ask us for more details about video and creating a motion-visual for your special day.

  • The SOONER the BETTER! We can't emphasize this enough. To ensure that your wedding date is available, we recommend reserving your spot at least 8-months to a year in advance.

  • In the beginning of my career, I shot 35+ weddings/year. At this point I’m only taking on 15 weddings/ year to ensure my clients get all of my attention on the day of and in the dark room aka my computer editing.

  • Weddings are beautiful and a once in a lifetime celebration. It truly is an honor to be apart of such a monumental day, let alone cremate the art and memories that will live on forever. I’m and artiest at heart and creating is what fills me with joy.

  • It is important to have a photographer who puts their soul into capturing your very special day, at the absolute top-notch quality. I truly do care about creating the most beautiful unique wedding photos and videos I can for my cliants. I have 10 years of experience doing it and so far everybody has been extremely happy with the art. With me you won't have to worry about a single thing. We handle the liability, pressure, and expertise it requires for documenting such an important event.
